Mission Statement
Ever since I built my first guitar and put strings on it, tuned it and held it up to the light a voice inside my head said 'THIS' is what you were meant for. I believe its my destiny to build as many magnificent work of art guitars as God Yahweh will permit me to in this life. Its why I've been given the natural talent of the wood worker and insight of a scientist. Its why I've had the jobs I've had in life, because each one taught something needed for that Destiny. Born at a strategic time in a century where this is possible.
Acoustic principles refined since the 80's and used by many great builders today are producing the finest instruments in history. When properly aged many instruments produced today will surpass the vintage instruments of the 30's and 40's without coming apart (which is what an instrument constructed with hide glue eventually does).
Modern acoustic principles have refined the art of 'tap tuning' to its most effective state ever, I will explain it in these pages.
I follow an inner voice. There are many easier ways to make more money than building guitars. An Artist in many ways, musically and through the work of my hands I seek fulfillment of my soul. That's why my work can be trusted.
For me guitar making is not an ordinary trade practiced for profit, it is a path of utter dedication and total commitment. With best effort and meticulous care starting from the moment I sift through a stack of material until the coveted finished work is boxed up and sent to you.
I hope your Emily Caroline Hand Crafted Guitar will soak up your Karma for many years and be passed on to your son or daughter, becoming a generational heirloom beyond any money value. A great instrument does have a soul that soaks up the human spirit and becomes something worthy to be passed on.
Sincerely
Ronald Clark
